ATC declares Altaf Hussain an absconder
Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Chief Altaf Hussain has been declared as absconder in an attempted murder case by an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) on Saturday, thesenlive reported.
Nisar said that, “Sarcastic poems were read against the armed forces of Pakistan and accusations were levelled against the army”.
He said the workers of MQM, PPP, ANP, Sunni Tehreek and Shabab-e-Milli were arrested during Karachi operation.
Chaudhry Nisar said that a formal letter is being written to UK government and London metropolitan police over the speech of Altaf Hussain. “We are left with no option but to stick to the Mohajir politics when the state starts squeezing us under different pretexts”, he said.
Jamaat Islami chief Sirajul Haq said that Pakistan Muslim League and Pakistan People’s Party nourished MQM in Karachi after forming it and that Altaf Hussain is now conspiring while sitting in London. “Altaf Hussain’s request for Indian help is highly undesirable”.
Interior Minister rejected the rumours that karachi operation is being targeted against MQM. Sattar said the MQM has been struggling to become a national party but some “hidden forces” have always obstructed the party’s campaigns in other parts of the country.
The Minister said the civil and military leadership is on same page regarding the Karachi operation.
Addressing a press conference in Islamabad the federal interior minister said, “The hate-inciting speech, made in a foreign country last night, crossed all limits”. “The efforts carried out by government have resulted in a decrease in terrorism cases”.
He said the operation has brought peace to the city as the incidents of kidnapping for ransom have totally been controlled.
