Atlanta Hawks vs. Los Angeles Lakers – 12/4/15 NBA Pick, Odds, and Prediction
On more than one occasion, Bryant made the extra pass. Unfortunately, though, the Lakers simply could not throw the ball in the ocean on this night and finished shooting 37.2 percent for the game.
In an interview with ESPN on Friday, Scott revealed the details of that exchange, which he said occurred at the start of the third quarter of the Lakers’ 108-96 loss to the Trail Blazers on Saturday.
The 20-year-veteran and 17-time All-Star then added, as if referring to Durant, that “I sincerely appreciate the bad as much as I do the good, and hopefully the players coming up now understand that – understand that it’s a journey, it’s a cycle, you can’t take things personal”. But Bryant surely didn’t mind that gift as he is from the Philadelphia area and who’s going to turn down a gift from Dr. J?
“He’s very, very smart and he’s also intuitive, and I think that some way, some how, I think it would be great if he could get involved at a higher level in basketball”, said West who served as a head coach, scout, general manager and executive vice president for basketball operations with the Lakers.
In the third game since announcing his retirement plans earlier this week, Bryant scored 14 points on 4-for-19 shooting.
Scott was understandably caught off guard and says Bryant delivered the news rather bluntly. “That was the shock part”.
Atlanta is about to play its 22nd game in 39 days, which is still by far the most games played by any team in the National Basketball Association. “Even when I was watching him play [and] I was watching him running up and down, I’m going, ‘Did he just tell me [that]?'” “You couldn’t stop him”, Johnson said in the Yahoo!
“You kind of accept it”, Horford said. “It was probably the weirdest game I’ve ever coached”.
“It was so casual”.
“It’s just been two games”, Scott said.
“He was at peace when he told me”.
“I want to remember him for his greatness and for how much winning meant to him”.
The Atlanta Hawks blew a big first-half lead while losing their previous game and weren’t going to let the same thing happen against the Los Angeles Lakers.
“The Black Mamba” declared his intent to finally walk away from the sport after the 2015-2016 season through a letter he published on the Players Tribune. The second-year guard Clarkson did not see any time in the final period, and with Scott and Bryant lamenting the Lakers being exhausted in the final minutes, it’s peculiar Scott did not look to Clarkson.
“There’s a lot of self doubt, self criticism and a lot of moments where we feel discouraged”, Bryant said.
Bryant decided not to clarify so he could “mess with (Scott) a little bit”. I’m just leaving him like that. This season, Scott became irritated with questions Friday about Young sitting out the past two games.
