Atom-Smasher Attacks in First ‘Flash’ Season 2 Clip
In a new clip from the first episode of season two, Central City honors the Flash with a “Flash Day” and hosts a grand celebration to offer the superhero a key to the city.
A new promo video that uses behind the scenes action clips for the making of the show, hints at the new dangers that threaten Central City.
The teasers showed a picture of the Flash, which excited fans for the episodes to come. It also shows Dr. Martin Stein at the S.T.A.R. lab, Joe firing a large gun, which may be what the comic book tweet was referring to.
With that, the upcoming season is expected to follow the events of the previous season.
This season also sees Barry go up against Atom Smasher, a character from DC Comics that’s nuclear-powered and has incredible strength and the ability to double his size.
At the heart of The Flash is Allen’s quest to find the real killer of his mother for which his father was wrongly convicted and sent to jail. Hell, it probably won’t even turn out to be the best episode of The Flash season 2. However, Barry is expected to evolve as a character, seeking less help from his friends in order to protect them.
“Picking up months after the Singularity attacked Central City, Barry is still struggling to forgive himself for Eddie’s death”. Things will take a different turn when the meta-human Atom Smasher, played by guest star Adam Copeland, attacks Central City.
The CW has also released the synopsis for episode 2 titled, “The Flash of Two Worlds”, which will introduce Jay Garrick from Earth 2, Comic Book Resources reported. Concerned about putting his friends in danger, Barry has pushed everyone away and has chosen to protect the city on his own. Elsewhere, Joe (Jesse L. Martin) will be dealing with Patty, played by guest star Shantal VanSanten, a determined officer who wants to join his meta-human task force.
