Augusta mother delivers conjoined twins
Brittany Crafton, 26, gave birth to Chandler & Probability by cesarean division at Georgia Regents Medical Center, Fox 5 Atlanta reported.
If all goes as planned, a woman will deliver conjoined twin boys at an Augusta hospital.
When Brittany Crafton saw the sonogram of her twin boys, she didn’t see the health issues or risks that had prompted doctors to suggest she terminate her pregnancy.
When asked on Sunday if she will attempt to have the boys separated; Crafton says that isn’t her priority right now.
The delivery was the first time a set of conjoined twins was born at the hospital, officials said.
Dr. Paul Browne, a maternal and fetal medicine specialist at Georgia Regents, said weeks before the delivery that the boys’ heart appeared to be in good shape. I was like there’s two babies, it like they’re hugging. She said during her second ultrasound, the sonogram revealed the babies were sharing more than just a brotherly bond: they share a heart.
In spite of all the dangers and complications, Ms Crafton said she sees nothing wrong with her babies, who she is determined to raise.

“What makes this case special is that the heart the twins share is quite normal and has been functioning very well for them”.
