Austin likely to move, says QPR manager
Hoops head coach Chris Ramsey recently told the BBC the 26-year-old and fellow QPR player Leroy Fer were likely to leave the club in the summer transfer window despite his desire to hang on to them.
“I think he would be better suited up in Newcastle”, Bowyer said.
Both have been heavily linked with a move away from Loftus Road after QPR’s relegation from the top flight of English football last season and rumours were fuelled further when both players sat out of their pre-season friendly with Atlanta on Sunday.
West Ham will desperately try to sign Queens Park Rangers forward Charlie Austin this week, according to the Daily Mirror.
‘What is happening is that the players are training very hard to get fit for the beginning of the season and if they’re fit they’ll feature.’.
But the ex-England global believes the chance to become the main man at St James’ Park should sway Austin. “They are great fans and he should hit the ground running if he decides to go there”.
Mitrovic is only 20 and there is no guarantee he will settle quickly in his new surroundings.
But pair him with Austin and there would be guaranteed goals from the outset; the question is: Who will ultimately pay the price QPR want for their crown jewel?
