Australian police seek men on motorized picnic tables
While we strongly encourage every single person to be responsible when heading out for a few pints, I’d imagine that the police in Perth, Australia won’t find it hard to track down these scooping speedsters below.
A group of drunk men riding around on motorised picnic benches are causing police in Australia concern.
Police in Perth, Australia are warning the public after cameras captured what appears to be two motorized picnic tables driving down a busy road this past Sunday.
“Police are concerned for the safety of those riding on the tables with no protective clothing, especially when on roads alongside motor vehicles”, he said.
A YouTube video posted by user Caleb Bloomer shows nine people sitting at two different picnic tables, which then roll down the street and around a corner as cars drive by.
Police are working closely with the City of Stirling council to review CCTV footage to identify those involved.
“Do the police really think anyone will phone in with information?”
Officers warned that the men could face several charges, including driving an unlicensed and unroadworthy vehicle. “But at least they’re closer to catching those picnic tables!”
The official police Facebook posts prompted tens of thousands of comments and likes, mainly from supporters who praised the stunt.
