A spectacular pink diamond, the largest of its kind to ever appear at auction, has been sold for US$28.5m (£18.8m/€26.6m), narrowly beating auctioneers’ projections.

Officials confirmed the news at a conference Tuesday morning, the store will be located off Interstate 69 and 116th Street in Fishers, Ind. The company plans to open the store in fall 2017.
