Jong-nam, 45, the estranged half-brother of North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-un, was assassinated on Feb 13 at klia2 by two women who were believed to have poisoned him.
Malaysian authorities have said they will not release the remains without a Kim family DNA sample, promising police protection to any of Kim’s relatives who come to Malaysia to provide one.
The National Human Rights Commission on Tuesday sought a report from the Delhi Police Commissioner over charges of excesses outside Ramjas College in Delhi University last week. He also met Lieutenant Governor Anil Baijal to demand strict action against those behind the incident.
Kim Jong-nam, who had criticized the regime of his family and his half-brother Kim Jong-un, died after the two women allegedly smeared VX nerve agent, a chemical described by the United Nations as a weapon of mass destruction, across his face.

The Malaysian police have no problem sharing evidence with the United Nations (UN) on the lethal VX nerve agent that was used in the murder of Mr Kim Jong Nam.
Kim fainted at the airport clinic and died in the ambulance while en route to a hospital, he said. Kim was dead within hours of the attack, in which two women went up behind him and appeared to smear something onto his face before walking away in separate directions.
