Volkswagen’s top USA executive offered apology for emission cheating scandal in front of US lawmakers on Thursday but no remedy schedule was announced.
Volkswagen, which admitted to the installation of software created to cheat regulatory emissions tests on over 11 million vehicles all over the world, is in the midst of investigations launched across the globe.
The announcement follows Volkswagen – the parent company to Audi, Skoda and Seat – admitting 11 million vehicles in its group with the EA189 diesel engine are equipped with the cheat software device which falsifies emissions output tests.
