Facebook users have reacted to this development by expressing their disappointment for not including the much anticipated dislike button which was clamoured for a year ago.

Starting on Wednesday, the social media giant rolled out five new reaction buttons to go with the now-iconic thumbs up like button.

The Reactions are extensions of Facebook’s Like button, to give users more ways to share their reactions to a post in a quick and easy way.

The new pictures are activated by holding down the Like button while using the app, or by hovering over it on the desktop.

Once you have appropriately reacted to a post (on web or mobile), you will see small reaction icons below the buttons that will show you how many people have reacted to the post and how.

“This case is not a case about one isolated iPhone”, Apple said in the filing, reiterating previous comments.

“I declare: I’m not going to pay for that f***ing wall”, Fox said.

On mobile, the new reactions show up on holding down the like button.

The policy issues raised in the Justice Department’s dispute with Apple Inc. over a locked iPhone represent the “hardest question I’ve seen in government, and it’s going to require negotiation and conversation”, FBI Director James Comey said Thursday.

Still, if you’ve ever felt emotionally stunted on Facebook, this is a great day for you.

But Facebook will not differentiate between the responses to determine a user’s interests when it places ads and other posts in a customer’s news feed.
