Premier League ticket prices have been a hot topic for a while now, but this week the issue has exploded once again with Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund fans protesting at high prices, and Prime Minister David Cameron even pledging to “look carefully” at the issue.

The stalled growth in the average number of active monthly users came despite various changes introduced to make Twitter easier to use and its website more engaging.

Twitter says it has 320 million active users this quarter, which is the exact same number the company reported in Q3 2015.

NEW YORK (AP) – Twitter‘s tweaking its timeline to emphasize certain tweets from people you follow, but don’t expect dramatic changes from the chronological feed you’re used to.

Twitter shares fell in Wednesday after-hours trading as the company revealed that its user numbers had declined sequentially.

“Today, we’re excited to share a new timeline feature that helps you catch up on the best Tweets from people you follow”, a Twitter blog said.

Dorsey reiterated Twitter‘s commitment to fix replies on an earnings call this afternoon.

The microblogger has been held back by what he called “broken windows” – or flaws in the user experience that can be fixed relatively easily.

When logging onto Twitter, they’ll see the tweets that Twitter’s algorithm believes they’re most likely to care about at the top of their timeline, going in reverse chronological order as they scroll down the new timeline.

Much like Facebook, which gives you the option to see the most recent stories or “top stories”, the feature is opt-in, which should calm at least some of the people down who were freaking out about this proposed change when word leaked last weekend.

If anything, the Football Supporters’ Federation were too moderate with their demand to peg ticket prices for away fans at £20.
