Today’s issue marks the social network’s third disruption in five days: Web and mobile users experienced a 25-minute outage on Friday, followed by a 10-minute blackout on Monday.
Unlike rival social media sites such as Facebook and Instagram, Twitter has struggled to achieve significant organic growth in its base, which now numbers some 320 million monthly active users, compared to Facebook’s more than 1.5 billion monthly active users.
Twitter now seems to be back in full service at most locations, but as of this writing, the company’s status page still reads: “Some users are currently experiencing problems accessing Twitter”.
