Auto Expo Kicks Off, Maruti Unveils Compact SUV Vitara Brezza
The driver aribag comes as a standard feature in the compact SUV. “The Compact SUV will be a tough competition to other players of the market”, Maruti Suzuki India Limited’s Head Domestic market RS Kalsi said at the launch.
Maruti Suzuki has been one of the most popular vehicle brands in India over the past couple of decades and when a completely new offering from the manufacturer surfaces, it is bound to create excitement.
Vitara Brezza has been developed with a special focus on the Indian customers, said T Suzuki, president and chief operating officer of Suzuki Motor Corporation, the Japanese parent company of Maruti Suzuki.
Speaking to a publishing media, CV Raman, Executive Director, Engineering, Maruti Suzuki, said that the all decisions and judgments on the Vitara Brezza were taken by Maruti’s Indian R&D team, and no validations were taken from Suzuki’s global team. The Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza will go against the likes of the Ford EcoSport and the Mahindra TUV300.
Maruti has launched the SUV on 3rd February this year. The Vitara Brezza sports the kind of muscular yet sleek styling that you would expect out of a vehicle in this class. The long flat bonnet leads into a gun metal finished grille, on either side of which are nice looking projector type headlamps. Balanced proportion supported by square wheel arches, short overhangs, high ground clearance and upright hood gives the vehicle a confident stance. Use of pendulum engine mount system, effective use of acoustic insulation and absorption materials around the cabin and engine compartment ensure low NVH levels in Vitara Brezza. A stronger, hi-tensile steel body not only offers superior ride-handling, but also enhances occupant protection along with Suzuki TECT body structure. Maruti Suzuki also made an announcement at the Auto Expo 2016 saying that it will launch three variants, Glamour, Urban and Sporty.
