AVENGERS Go Back To School In New AVENGERS ACADEMY
It’ll let you build a Super Hero School as well as guide the paths of Captain America, Black Widow, Iron Man, and the rest of the crew. Marvel is dipping its toes into mobile gaming, again, in the form of the upcoming F2P Marvel Avengers Academy now being developed by TinyCo. While you are running this academy, you’ll have to lead your heroes into a series of adventures that could last from a day to a whole week, and they range from recreational activities to epic adventures.
The teen Avengers will experience multifarious aspects of campus drama – going on dates, confronting rival cliques and navigating the social ups and downs of their character’s lives. MARVEL Avengers Academy marks the first time in videogame history that the beloved cast of the Avengers has been re-envisioned as student versions of themselves.
Avengers Academy will be an adventure/sim title, where you’ll get to unlock young versions of the Avengers, help them grow and gain new superpowers, and help them get through their social lives by going on dates, training to become a superhero, and interacting with other characters. You see, these are the real deal Earth’s Mightiest Heroes (and Villains), complete with their distinct personalities, powers and personal struggles that we’ve all grown to know and love.
Heroes have to hone their skills somewhere, and Marvel Avengers Academy will allow you to craft your own facility to train the superheroes of tomorrow.
We don’t have any gameplay to go by, but Avengers Academy is described as a game with “narrative-driven stories” set in the teams younger years.
Well, the title will be available to download from Q1 2016, and in terms of price, it’ll be available free of charge (albeit supported, as you’d expect, with in-app purchases). The company’s investors include Andreessen Horowitz, Pinnacle Ventures and angel investors including Ron Conway and Keith Rabois.
