Avengers: Infinity War Antagonist Photo Released
That footage has now been combined with interviews from producers and clips from previous Marvel movies into a seven-minute special feature that explains what the Infinity Stones are, where they have popped up in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and provides a small hint as to where Thanos and his golden glove are headed.
According to We Got This Covered, the image of the Mad Titan holding all the infinity stones in his infinity gauntlet was originally shown as a part of the “Avengers: Infinity War” movie announcement previous year at a Marvel event.
“Part I & II” are scheduled for 2018 and 2019, respectively. That’s the reason why he appeared in the mid credits scene of “Avengers: Age of Ultron” declaring that he will get all the stones by himself.
Tell us, are you looking forward to seeing what’s to come in Avengers: Infinity War? Apart from Thanos actually employing the Stones to wreak havoc on the universe, the films will not be a direct adaptation of the 1991 “Infinity Guantlet” story. The Mad Titan Thanos has been busy at work behind the scenes gathering each of the stones to satiate his thirst for ultimate power and kill billions of beings across the universe.
Fans should expect Thanos to pop up in a handful of Phase 3 films as we slowly see him collect each stone. The Mind Stone was embedded in Loki’s staff in The Avengers, but now it resides in the Vision’s forehead, as seen in Avengers: Age of Ultron. Loki’s failure also resulted in him not being able to secure the Tesseract (a.k.a. the Space Stone), which Thor brought back to Asgard. The most clear-cut explanation comes in Guardians Of The Galaxy, which, confusingly, probably seems the most disconnected from the rest of the MCU to a casual fan. The Aether from Thor: The Dark World was another, and so was the orb that everyone wanted in Guardians of the Galaxy.
With four out of the six Infinity Stones having been revealed by Marvel’s previous films, two Stones are set to be introduced in Marvel’s Phase Three, the Time and Soul Stones. Will Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 open with a heist montage?
