Awadhesh Kushwaha s resignation exposes Nitish s double standards BJP
Kushwaha said he would come clear as he has done a lot of work in the past five years and his opponents will not be successful in their attempt to tarnish his image.
I will face the allegations and will give my best effort to bring the truth. “His ( Kushwaha) resignation has been despatched to the Governor’s home”, Yadav advised a press convention right here.
The Election Commission on Monday sought a report from east Champaran district magistrate on a sting video that purportedly showed Bihar minister Awadhesh Prasad Kushwaha accepting bribe even as BJP demanded a CBI probe into the incident.
The episode has come as a huge embarrassment for CM Nitish Kumar at a time when the state is voting in the first phase of the 5-phased Assembly elections.
“Nitish Kumar’s tall claims of fighting corruption have been exposed. A sting operation like this would have taken place much before, it clearly shows frustration and fear in the BJPs mind, which is why they have got it done 12 or 18 hours before”, Dikshit told ANI. Congress maintained that there should be enquiry and that Nitish Kumar has proved that there is non-tolerance against corruption in Bihar.
“On one hand you are taking action against Kushwaha, on the other hand you have joined hands with a person who has been convicted in fodder scam”.
