Ax-Wielding Clown Threatens NC Woman

The victim told officers a man in a clown suit and brightly-colored wig showed up at her door.

Suspect Jimmy Daniel Raybon, 28, allegedly went to the woman’s Hickory, North Carolina house at about 4.30am on Friday wearing a clown mask and a multicolored wig, according to authorities.

An arrest warrant has been issued for a North Carolina man accused of swinging an ax at a woman while wearing a clown costume. The man asked her to come out, and she did.

Hickory Police Department spokeswoman Chrystal Dieter confirmed Raybon has at least one outstanding warrant, and it happens to be for assault with a deadly weapon. First of all, this woman is a damn hero and should have a statue erected in her honor for not only fighting off the killer clown, but revealing his identity.

The unnamed woman fought him off and managed to remove his clown mask, recognizing the assailant as Raybon, her acquaintance, Hickory police said. The victim escaped the attack uninjured.
