Azam Khan blames Western countries for Paris terror attacks
“I am saddened”, Richier told reporters here while reacting to Khan’s statement. On The Buck Stops Here, we debate: has Azam Khan justified Paris attacks?
Khan, a senior Samjawadi Party leader, condemned the terrorist attacks in Paris but simultaneously raked up the issue of action by the U.S. and Russian Federation in Arab countries, saying “killing of innocents” anywhere is “not jutified”. Azam Khan denied media reports that quoted him as suggesting that the terror attacks that left 128 people dead in Paris were a “reaction against a few action”, but all the same he accused the U.S. of bombing hospitals and schools in Syria, Iraq and elsewhere in its pursuit of controlling oil resources. SP leader blamed the Western nations saying that “It must be seen who lit the matchstick first”.
The SP leader further said, “If this attack is a reaction than the superpowers must think about it. What action led to this reaction and whether their action was justified?” You strike bombs through drones to kill the innocents…
“Azam Khan’s reaction is most unwanted and condemnable because it puts India in a bad light”. “Akhilesh Yadav should put a check on Azam Khan and also come up with a statement condemning what Azam Khan has said”, said Singh. “Action should be initiated against him and only then will it emerge that the Samajwadi Party government is not giving protection to Khan”.
French President Francois Hollande on Saturday evening said that the Islamic State militant were behind the attack and termed it as an “act of war”. “I have never said anything like this and I have always been against all kinds of terrorism”, the controversial minister stated.
