B.B. King was not poisoned, according to coroner’s report
But now that Clark County Coroner John Fudenberg has determined that King’s death was caused by diabetes-triggered mini-strokes known as “multi-infarct dementia”, police have officially closed their investigation into the matter. King was poisoned, an allegation two of the singer’s daughters made soon after his death.
LAS VEGAS (AP) – Medical examiners found no evidence to prove the allegation that blues legend B.B. “As expected, the autopsy report confirms that Mr. King died as a result of natural causes and not as the result of poisoning or other wrongful conduct”, Byrson said in a statement.
Coroners said they can compiled King’s goal of decease after with post-mortem, toxicology analysis and seeing a neuropathologist. “Our condolences go out to the family and many friends of Mr. King, and we hope this determination brings them some measure of closure”.
Patty King and Karen Williams voiced out the allegations and indicated this in their sworn affidavits.
The siblings alleged he was deliberately poisoned by his long-time manager LaVerne Toney, and his personal assistant, Myron Johnson, but a lawyer for Toney and Johnson slammed the accusations, calling the claims defamatory and libellous. “I believe my father was murdered”, they said.
An earlier wake took place at a funeral home in Las Vegas, along with a tribute concert led by another daughter, Shirley King.
Two of King’s daughters – Karen Williams and Patty King – stated in a court filing, “I believe my father was poisoned and that he was administered foreign substances”.
