Baby allegedly cut from pregnant woman’s belly in fatal NY stabbing

According to authorities, police responded to an apartment in the Wakefield section of the Bronx after receiving reports that an argument had become violent, the Associated Press reports.

Police found the 22-year-old victim in a property in the Bronx, NY City, with multiple stab wounds to her torso.

Police say Wade was taken into custody screaming the infant was hers.

Both mother and child were rushed to Montefiore Hospital, where Angelikque was pronounced dead.

It was Patrick Bradley, Sutton’s boyfriend, who found the culprit covered in blood and holding the baby girl, which prompted him to call 911 straight away. As for the victim, “She was on a stretcher and they were still working on her, and it looked like they were still doing chest compressions”, said Kendra Green, a neighbor. “No I want to hold my grand babies a little tighter”, resident Anne Parker said.

She had allegedly been pretending for a few time that she was pregnant, posting pictures on Facebook of an ultrasound showing a foetus with the comment: “My lil dimpled cutie pie”.

The chaos unfolded Friday afternoon in the Bronx.

She told police she had given birth to the child during the struggle, according to councilman Andy King.

Two people are now in custody, including the baby’s father. “I do not know what is going on”. “It’s my baby!”, she yelled.

Wade was sent to a psychiatric center for an evaluation, but she has been charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.

Investigators were also questioning Sutton’s boyfriend, who told the Daily News the couple was supposed to be married on Friday and they had been together for eight years. Jelani Magloire, 24, said she had never seen something so horrific.
