“Baby Doe’s” mom and mom’s boyfriend due in court Monday

Dozens of law enforcement officials and reporters converged at an apartment building in Dorchester on Friday morning for a possible break in the Baby Doe case.

After a few minutes, Bond walked into the room and found McCarthy standing over Bella, his hand on her abdomen, her face grey and swollen, according to Deakin. McCarthy was held without bond.

Judge Thomas Kaplanes granted a request from prosecutors to hold McCarthy without bail and Bond on $1 million cash bail.

According to the police records, Trooper Daniel Herman spoke to Sprinsky at 10:55 a.m. Thursday.

The prosecutor said Bond told authorities that McCarthy threatened to kill her if she told anyone what he had done to Bella.

“I also have a little girl who is the same age as Bella”, Kim Marco, of Revere, Massachusetts, told WHDH.

“It was a tip called into our offices at our homicide (unit), that really brought this case to where it is today”, Boston police Commissioner William B. Evans said today.

In response, McCarthy allegedly referred to Bond as “a cracked out hooker”, and denied her account, claiming that the girl was in state custody.

Investigators checked to see if Bella was now in the care of the Department of Children and Families.

“Here’s Rachelle promising to be this baby’s mother and promising to take care of her. She blew that promise”, Fewtrel said. Police did not identify the source of the tip, but local TV stations WCVB, WPXI and WHDH have all reported that the tipster was a woman.

Photos of Bella posted on her mother’s Facebook page made it clear that she looked strikingly similar to the composite image.

Just after 9 a.m. Friday, police located Bond.

Bella’s biological father, Joe Amoroso, who never met his daughter in person, sat on the front row, appearing to compose himself, tensing his jaw and pursing his lips at times.

She agreed to go to with investigators for questioning in Chelsea, where she allegedly laid out her account of Bella’s death and the disposal of her body.

Attorneys for Bond and McCarthy have said little on the case.

Speaking to CNN, Bassil said Bond was cooperating with police because “she wants to see Mr. McCarthy pay for what he did”. According to MSP, McCarthy killed Bella in her bedroom, put her body in a bag and then put her into a refrigerator where her body stayed for almost a month.

The man said Bond told him she had been off drugs for the last couple of days.

He said he went to police after learning the truth that Bella was dead. According to Fox News, the friend lived with the trio for a while last winter and actually moved out because he was so disturbed by the way Bond and her boyfriend treated Bella.
