‘Bachelor in Paradise’ Season 2 Kicks Off with Wedding

Welcomed by Chris Harrison, the cast quickly gets acquainted at a Bachelor-style cocktail party on the shores of Playa Escondida. In her intro, Jade says that “America had [her] back” when Chris dumped her after learning about her nude photos, and the men of Paradise definitely have her back, too. Breaking the tension, Chris Harrison interrupts to explain the rules of Paradise and one shocking twist. Then, he informs the group he has one more surprise in store. Jade seems to really like Tanner though, her date with him seems to be going really well.

The first date card went to Ashley I. who had the least amount of confidence we’ve ever seen in someone and barely could even ask Jared to come on the date.

Ashley S is still a little wonky, but she may have found her ideal match in Dan. The two play with parrots, but their carefree hangout takes a turn when Ashley S gets taken away in an ambulance.

Adding to the drama was that Ashley S. was rushed by ambulance to the hospital. That is until Clare from last season unexpectedly enters and changes everything. Mikey T. seizes the opportunity by inviting himself on the date and without any other options, Clare accepts. Yes, the producers have chosen their villain and they have chosen wisely. The contestants loudly struggle to understand what’s happening until former Paradise contestant Marcus appears and they put two and two together: He’s getting married to Lacy, his girlfriend from the show.

The second couple to go on a date is Ashley Salter and Dan Cox.

Tonight we kick off another exciting season of Bachelor in Paradise 2015 and what better way to do that than with a Bachelor in Paradise wedding? But post-show has actually helped her out. “I feel like Jared knows I’m going to pick him but he doesn’t want to go”, she confessed to her sister. Jillian’s black box now extends to her breasts, the men all make a beeline for Jade, Carly and Kirk start making out, and in a corner someone starts crying, probably for no other reason than that she’s howlingly drunk. Hopefully for Jade, the guys in Paradise will be more open-minded and appreciate dating a “wild mustang”.

Ashley S., aka “Onion Girl” from her season with Chris Soules, arrived shortly after the sisters and was quickly living up to her reputation by paying more attention to a gang of caged parakeets than Harrison. However, she seems to be most interested in Tanner and Jared. Steve reports that Ashley I. will go on a four-wheeling date with Jared, who will eventually give her a rose. Where Ashley is the nervous virgin, her sister is the confident woman just looking for a few fun.

“Just pretend like you’re someone else”, Lauren helpfully suggested. This is awfully similar to Ashley’s numerous breakdowns during her time on The Bachelor.

This single mom broke Chris’ heart when she told him the story of losing her husband to suicide.

This sexy mystery woman comes to Paradise this season with an attitude and connections that are sure to shock everyone.

Lauren had never been on any of the Bachelors or Bachelorettes and she was a big flirt on their first day. Dan (from Desiree’s season) was also back, but now he’s “older and wiser” (according to him).
