Bad weather in Chicago causing flight cancellations in Ohio
Travelers with flights scheduled at Will Rogers World Airport will have to contend with delays and cancellations Monday, airport officials said.
Midway’s canceled flight number may be significantly higher than 60 at this point-The Sun-Times reports that the airport has canceled upwards of 300 flights.
Five additional flights, all to Chicago airports, were cancelled entirely, and Chicago O’Hare airport management posted a message on Twitter stating almost 350 flights there had been delayed between at least 15 and 45 minutes each.
Almost a dozen arriving and departing flights at GRR were cancelled by late-morning, according to the airport’s website. Among arrivals, flights were cancelled from Midway, Charlotte, Kansas City, Philadelphia, Little Rock, Oklahoma City and Washington, D.C.
A combination of heavier-than-normal air-travel traffic and record-breaking storms makes it hard for some airlines to get passengers to their connecting flights and destinations.
