Badgers shift 2 non-league football games, add 2 with Syracuse

Wisconsin and Syracuse will play a home-and-home series starting in 2020. In total, the series stands 3-1-1 in favor of Syracuse.

“I’m excited for our football program, our student-athletes and our fans to announce this series”, Syracuse Director of Athletics Mark Coyle said.

The Orange will visit Madison in September 2020, followed by a game at the Carrier Dome in September 2021.

Wisconsin and Syracuse have met five times, most recently in the 1997 Kickoff Classic in East Rutherford, N.J. The Orange won that game 34-0. On top of that, the Badgers’ future games at BYU and at South Florida have been modified with UW opting to play at BYU in 2017 and at USF in 2019. The Badgers play Alabama this season and LSU next season in a much anticipated game at Lambeau Field.

The Badgers and USF squared off last year, with UW winning 27-10 in Madison.

The Wisconsin Badgers are making their first trip to Provo sooner than originally believed.

UW also added home games against New Mexico in 2018, along with Central Michigan and North Texas in 2019. They’ll see Washington State in 2022 and 2023 and Virginia Tech in 2024 and 2025.
