Bakary Sako set for Crystal Palace FC move
Bakary Sako is undergoing a medical at Crystal Palace ahead of a potential move from Wolves, according to Sky sources. If we can get him over the line he’s an exciting player as well. We’ve got a bit of business to do.
He would play a crucial role in the club’s promotion from League One by finishing as joint top scorer and was named in the Team of the Year.
Pardew had said, “I’d like to think we’d get one done today”.
He scored 15 times for Wolves last season in the Championship, having netted 13 the season before, and was a free agent after walking away following three years with the midlands club.
Sako’s contract expired this summer at the Molienux and whilst Wolves were keen to keep him, the fleet-footed star was keen for a new adventure and allowed his deal to run down.
Crystal Palace have made a couple of very good signings this summer in the form of Yohan Cabaye, Connor Wickham and Alex McCarthy and manager Alan Pardew is still looking towards further reinforcing his side before the start of the Premier League campaign. However, Alan Pardew has won the race for the winger, and Sako has now been announced as an official player at Selhurst Park.
