Ballots mailed to military and overseas voters
The new system is intended for the convenience of registered voters, who can now submit their requests electronically.
Oklahoma State Election Board launched a new system Wednesday to make voting by mail more convenient. Voters can fill out their ballots on their own time, have them notarized and mail them back when they are ready.
Any registered voter can vote by mail and never miss an election. There are specific criteria for being eligible to receive an absentee ballot.
Starting next week, Florida’s supervisors of elections will be mailing out absentee ballots to the rest of voters who requested them. some 70,000 of those ballots will be mailed beginning on February 9th, according to Bill Cowles, Orange County Supervisor of Elections.
While ballots could be hitting mailboxes in the next few weeks, elections supervisors are also making a push to remind voters that Florida is a closed primary state. That’s also the deadline for voters to update their party affiliation to make sure they can vote in the primary of their choosing. All Absentee Ballots must be in the possession of the Election Department by 8:00 p.m. on March 1, 2016, not postmarked by March 1, 2016.
