Baltimore Sun: Infant found on side of the road in Pasadena
Officers responded to a call about an abandoned infant. Showell, police said, didn’t think a baby was inside of it but investigated and discovered the almost 3-month-old girl.
Police say Gibbons had suffered obvious trauma to his body and was pronounced dead at the scene. The child was found in a auto seat carrier on the side of the road. She will be released to the Department of Child Protective Services.
Police are hoping the public can help identify the child and her parents. As this is a very fluid and active investigation the Anne Arundel County Police are urging anyone with information to come forward by calling Homicide Detective Dan Myers 410-222-3413.
A woman claiming to be the mother of a baby found abandoned in a auto seat carrier contacted authorities Sunday morning.
The baby is in good condition, Lt. T.J. “We’ll keep you posted on any developments”. A person who lived near where the child was found saw the carrier and alerted authorities, Smith said. Police are working to confirm the claim.
No charges have been filed.
The Anne Arundel County Police planned a press conference today to discuss the case, the police told ABC News.
