Bamidele Alli scores insane header for Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has taken to Twitter to voice his disappointment after Spurs’ latest underwhelming result in the Premier League.
Tottenham, on the other hand, have been underwhelming in their opening fixtures and would feel as though they should have more points on the board.
Last season’s unlikely getaway from the bottom is something they would look to avoid, and the start to 2015/2016 campaign gives them much to hope for.
“It’s not about football, it’s about being more aggressive and to be focussed to do our job”. Dembele has another go from the edge of the box, cutting in from the right, but this time it was sneaking inside the near post – but Schmeichel pulls off a good save low to his left.
“We need to have the balance in the squad, we have some targets and maybe in the next few days we can help the team a little bit more”, Pochettino said.
After beginning the season with back-to-back victories against Sunderland and West Ham, the visit of Tottenham was the most hard assignment yet for Ranieri’s men. I am an Italian manager and I want to see how he defends too. Mahrez – the best player for either side on the day – pulled his team level by picking up a knocked-down header by Jamie Vardy, then capitalizing on Jan Vertonghen’s failure to close down by hitting a rocket shot into the top corner.
“We played very well tactically and I am very satisfied”.
Dele Alli: Got stuck in when he came off the bench with 25 minutes left and made an impact by giving Tottenham the lead with a well-taken header. This is the third game in a row that he has been very good.
It took a while for Spurs to make a sub, with Alli eventually entering for Erik Lamela in the 65th minute.
Inler, who is at last the replacement for Esteban Cambiasso that Ranieri wanted, could come into the midfield in place of Andy King or Danny Drinkwater.
The last time they met at King Power Stadium, Tottenham won 2-1.
“The draw was right, they had great chances and we also had two great chances”.
Inler could earn his first start against Tottenham on Saturday and Ranieri added: “He knows me very well, he’s played a lot in Italy. If it was raining and cold it could have even better for us but it is important for us to be unbeaten”. I think tomorrow, he’ll be fine for the training session’.
Of course it is just two games into the season, but the signs do look promising for Leicester, and at this early stage it could be suggested that they could well be this season’s Southampton.
