Bangarang! 25 Years Later, The Lost Boys From “Hook” Reunite
The stars of Hook celebrated the beloved film’s 25th anniversary by revisiting their Neverland characters in a nostalgic photo shoot.
The Lost Boys are all grown up-and they’re getting back into their old costumes to recreate some of Hook’s iconic scenes for a photo shoot.
Somewhat troublingly, it’s already been 25 years since Hook tinkled and twinkled onto the screen, re-introducing us to the ragtag Lost Boys from Never Never Land.
22 Vision, which has photographed other recent cast reunions such as The Little Rascals and School of Rock, helmed the project.
The “Good Will Hunting” star committed suicide on August 11, 2014 and actors from the movie, who played the Lost Boys, reunited to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the film.
The film, which starred the likes of Robin Williams, Dustin Hoffman and Julia Roberts, was released back in 1991 and acted as a sequel to J.M Barrie’s 1911 novel Peter and Wendy.
However, the reunion is a bittersweet occasion as fans and cast members mourn the loss of the film’s star, Robin Williams.
“Hook is just one of those movies that people really grew up on”. Commenting on the reunion he said “there’s sadness there”, but there’s also “space to kinda celebrate one of the most legendary artists of our time”. Thursday (August 11), marks the two year anniversary of the actor’s tragic passing.
But of course, the reunion was bittersweet marred by the absence of a very significant individual: Robin Williams.
Isaiah Robinson (“Pockets”), said: “A lot of the things we became, all these years later, are directly because of him”.
