‘Bangistan’ banned in Pakistan, UAE
Praising Pulkit Samrat and Riteish Deshmukh, Bollywood superstar Salman Khan says they are his two favourite actors. And I’m upset with the fact that the Pakistan censor board took this decision without even watching the film, which is very sad. Censor board of Pakistan had rejected the release of the film reasoning a strong objection that the film contents offensive content and that they refused to release the film there. “We shall be sending it to the re-examining committee”. Chandan Roy Sanyal is also a part of the film, playing a lead role.
Though in India, Bangistan was easily cleared by the Censor Board with only a handful of verbal cuts and U/A certificate, the film is facing resistance from a religious group called Hindu Legal Cell here. Hence, the film failed to put a good impact on the audience forget about the world peace in it. And encouraged by their response, the young actor telephoned the girl gang and a special contigent of directors for whom he screened the film.
“Bangistan” revolves around two suicide bombers, Hafeez Bin Ali Ishwarchand Sharma (Riteish) and Allah Rakha Khan Praveen Chaturvedi (Pulkit), who have been brainwashed into an explosive mission but eventually realise that death wish is a futile exercise. Bangistan is a comedy film starring Riteish Deshmukh and Pulkit Samrat. The movie also stars Jacqueline Fernandez.
