Barbara Bush isn’t ‘getting in a spitting match’ with Trump
The Bush campaign, said others briefed on its thinking, is aiming to have the former president on the ground in SC a few days after the New Hampshire primary on February 9.
“I don’t know how women can vote for someone who said what he said about Megyn Kelly”, she said.
“While Senator Rubio is a tremendous political talent, he is not the best choice to serve as Commander-In-Chief”. “My dad and brother… were presidents of the United States-fine, I’ll take it”, Jeb said on the Fox News debate stage last week.
Jeb concluded his opening remarks by pleading with New Hampshire voters to help him deliver an upset next Tuesday regardless of Monday night’s outcome.
This shot at Marco Rubio is objectively stunning due to the fact that prior to Jeb Bush’s unexpected disaster in this race, he considered Rubio a protégé and personal friend.
“It shows how idiotic Trump is”, Bush responded, according to US News. “And I think that’s what most of America should be looking for at least, if they are not”, said Corey Schiff, Dartmouth sophomore.
Bush has to walk a tricky line with voters like Manning. “He sort of makes faces and says insulting things”, Barbara Bush said about Trump. He’s not a sitting governor, as Christie and Kasich are, nor a senator, like Ted Cruz or Marco Rubio (who is retiring), which means he has no chance to redeem his political reputation when he fails to win the nomination.
Donald Trump ran a much more cost-effective race in Iowa, leveraging the fact that he generates free media attention the way Iowa generates ethanol. After the Iowa caucuses, Bush’s campaign is teetering on the edge of failure.
And it’s not only Rubio that Bush is going after through his super PACs. Jeb Bush came in sixth, netting only 2.8% of the vote while he focused more intensely on New Hampshire.
“Some of Mr. Bush’s major donors, including those with long ties to the family, are also growing impatient, hoping he will not go past New Hampshire absent a strong finish here”, Jonathan Martin and Ashley Parker wrote on Wednesday.
