Batgirl DLC postponed on PC until Batman: Arkham Knight is fixed
Batman: Arkham Knight is now available for PS4 and Xbox One, with the Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC coming Tuesday, July 14th for those with the season pass, and on July 21st as a standalone purchase. At this point, it’s anyone’s guess as to when Arkham Knight will once again be available for purchase on PC, let alone the Batgirl: A Matter of Family DLC.
Warner Bros issued a full apology regarding the PC port of Batman: Arkham Knight in a forum post Friday.
Warner Bros and Rocksteady are fully committed to fixing the Batman Arkham Knight PC version and, as such, as development on the DLC packs for this version of the game has been halted for now. We still don’t know when that issue will be resolved-although hopefully it’s not before Rocksteady has a working PC version on their hands.
There is now a huge thread on Steam that is full of complaints about the game.
“Addressing the PC performance issues is still our top priority and at this time, we believe we have identified a number of fixes for the larger issues that were affecting PC players at launch”.
Warner Bros has apologized for the issues surrounding the PC release of Batman: Arkham Knight, and informed players that work on fixing the game has delayed the upcoming DLC.
“We can also assure you that because of this latest launch, we are modifying the internal review process for all of our games”. “We’ll provide an update on how things are developing next week”.
The problems with the PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight have been so bad that WB Games actually pulled the game from sale and offered full refunds. “For those who are waiting for the updated version of the game on PC, please know that we are working on this every day”. This DLC was originally meant to be made available on July 14th. Stay tuned for new update from Rocksteady on this next week. Unfortunately, the same can not be said for those that prefer to play on PC, as Batman: Arkham Knight has been nothing but trouble for PC gamers since it released a couple of weeks ago.
