Batman v. Deathstroke? Speculation high after Affleck tweet
Case in point: the outlandish fan theory that took the internet by storm prior to the release of Batman v Superman, which posited that Affleck’s Batman wasn’t actually the Caped Crusader, it was Affleck playing Deathstroke disguised as Batman.
But what’s even more exciting is the fact that no one knows where the clip has come from. However, Ben Affleck has just revealed that another more human villain is going to show up, who is familiar to comic book fans and those who watched Arrow over two years ago.
In short, everyone’s a bit confused, but very, very excited. It was shot on the set of Justice League, where Affleck is now working, but is probably completely unrelated to that movie. Affleck is also set to star in and direct 2018 drama “Witness for the Prosecution”. Still, there are other movies coming first which DC are far likelier to be hyping. He is considered to be one of the greatest assassins within the DC Universe and has a history of being one of the greatest villains as well.
Innerestingly, Joe Manganiello was rumored to have met with Suicide Squad director David Ayer for a cameo as the character.
But what does this mean for Jared Leto’s The Joker?
We’re heading into fantasy territory now, seeing as Suicide Squad 2 has not even been announced by DC yet, and definitely wouldn’t be out until the end of 2019. Ben’s Batman could be fighting multiple villains at once. Do you think he should be the main villain of the solo Batman movie?
