Batman V Superman Gal Gadot First Official Wonder Woman Movie Pic Revealed
That film was to be called Justice League Mortal, that is until Warner Bros. chose to scrap the idea.
This will be the first time since Wonder Woman landed on the cover of a comic in 1942 that the character will have the spotlight on the big screen. Gal Gadot shared the first official image of the film so far in the tweet below.
Australian model and actress Megan Gale was originally going to play the part and photographer Mark Rogers, who took a few stills of the actress for the film, posted this photo on his website. It’s notable for the worldwide flavor, but doesn’t have quite the A-list names of “Batman v Superman: Dawn Of Justice” or even “Suicide Squad”. In addition to those two, the cast includes Robin Wright, Danny Huston, David Thewlis, Ewen Bremner, Elena Anaya, and Lucy Davis, though we don’t yet have confirmation on what their roles are. Said Taghmaoui (“American Hustle”) is also among the cast members.
Gal Gadot, now best-known for her roles in the Fast & Furious franchise, has signed up to appear in three Wonder Woman films, according to reports by Empire.
Now that Zack Snyder has taken the reins for the direction of the new DCEU, George Miller’s Justice League movie is completely dead, leaving us to wonder what might have been. It shows Gal Gadot as Diana Prince in her Wonder Woman hood and headband.
The SAG Writes’ Strike put an end to that movie and Megan’s big Hollywood break.
