Batman v Superman’s Zack Snyder Takes a Shot at the Marvel Universe
Last week, legendary director Steven Spielberg made a controversial comment about the state of the superhero film, predicting the genre will go the way of the Western in terms of popularity. “What is the next Blank-Man?” he added.
The studio has an ongoing rivalry with Marvel Comics and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, which features Iron Man, Thor, Captain America, and the Avengers.
While Superman is also a founding member of the Justice League, Batman is set to have his solo spin-off film reboot, which will be directed by Affleck.
“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” opens nationwide and in select IMAX locations on March 25, 2016.
“It goes to the mythological nature of the movies that we’re making”, Snyder said to The Daily Beast. The Comic-Con trailer for Dawn of Justice shows an unworn, vandalized Robin costume, but that didn’t mean Robin would be definitely in it. The way Snyder talks about the character is like he’s saying Well, duh, of course he’s in it.
The latest hot rumor I am hearing is that Warners is requesting more Batman be put into the movie and less Superman.
On why Batman has more screen time and focus in the new film, Synder also said, “Only in that because it’s a different Batman than the Batman that was in the Chris Nolan movies”.
“They’re actually opposite sides of the same coin”, Synder told The Daily Beast. Yes, they are fun and the actors are doing a pretty good job with their impersonation, but something is missing. Here’s an excerpt from the interview: Do you worry about stuffing too many heroes into Batman v Superman, or will those mostly be cameos? “They’ll say something and I’ll say ‘Oh snap, they must have seen the script.’ And then they’ll say, ‘And this happens!’ And then I’ll go, They have no idea what they’re talking about“.
Zack Snyder wants a new yacht so all you websites that trade in rumor-mongering, keep spitballing for the sake of momentary Reddit fame and meager ad revenue.
