Battleborn Release Date Set in February
2K and Gearbox Software have announced that Battleborn, the new first-person shooter from the creators of Borderlands, will be available worldwide on February 9th 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC.
An open beta will be available prior to release, but as yet, there are no details on when we might expect it. Gearbox also revealed four new heroes in its latest announcement: Ambra, a melee specialist with healing abilities; Melka, a stealthy assassin capable of heavy damage; Reyna, a laser pistol-brandishing support character; and Benedict, a jetpack-touting “Aviant” with a rocket launcher.
Battleborn will allow for co-op with five friends both in split-screen (albeit with two players on each screen) and online play.
Ambra: Member of the Jennerit Empire, responsible for discovering a way for immortality, Ambra was betrayed by her leader which lead her to join forces with Battleborn. And, of course, there’ll be competitive modes which, in one playlist, will see you defending your base from lanes of AI controlled minions. She’s a strong melee damage dealer and healer. Her life has been defined by a series of staggering losses, but her response to these losses was never despair – it was fury.
Reyna: Aka Valkyrie, Reyna was born to space pirates and later became their leader. He is known for his love of explosives and uses double jumps, rockets jumps, and flight during battle.
