Baylor-Oklahoma State, Oklahoma-TCU are top Big 12 games
Elliott has rushed for at least 100 yards in every contest this season. FPI projects that there’s an 81 percent chance that one of those teams loses, but Oklahoma is more likely (52 percent chance) to win out than Notre Dame (38 percent).
No. 9 MI State at No. 3 Ohio State (-13.5) – ABC, 3:30 p.m.
There are several key matchups today that not only have playoff implications but also can help sort out conference championship games, unless you’re the Big 12.
USC controls its own destiny after Utah lost to Arizona last week.
Few teams are playing better than the Ducks right now. Seth Russell suffered a season-ending neck injury earlier in the season after producing Heisman numbers.
“We’re definitely a different team than at the beginning of the season”, Adams said. I think they both are suspect. Following his performance of 28 rushes for 166 yards and two touchdowns last week against Baylor, Perine has amassed 552 yards and nine touchdowns over the last four games (138-yard average).
If Oklahoma State wins its final two games and finishes undefeated, one of its biggest donors isn’t anxious about the Cowboys missing out to Notre Dame for a College Football Playoff berth. That being said, it’s still going to be an interesting game. “They’re not going to put somebody in with a loss ahead of somebody [undefeated]”. Let’s be candid, a 15- or 20-point win over a high-profile team like TCU and Oklahoma State is much more impressive than a 3- or 7-point victory over the same team, and a good indicator of how well a team is playing, especially if those wins come back to back and, in OU’s case, over three consecutive games against the best teams in one of college football’s premier leagues.
No. 18 TCU at No. 7 Oklahoma, 8 ET: This game would have been among our top to watch this week if TCU wasn’t on a bit of a slide and without receiver Josh Doctson and possibly quarterback Trevonne Boykin.
Oklahoma State is set to play at home, so they are sure to draw more than their fair share of fan support for the people who were killed.
Texas Tech’s win over K-State has made them bowl eligible. The Pokes have been really good at home under coach Mike Gundy, winning 43 of their past 52 games at Boone Pickens Stadium. It’s worth watching because it’s being played at Fenway Park and that’s freakin’ cool. Ohio State faces MI State tonight in its first big test of the season, with both teams in the top 10 in the playoff rankings. That’s a big blow to an offense that has been stagnant outside of its running game.
