Baylor QB Seth Russell Out for Season With Neck Injury
The No. 2-ranked Bears led 35-20 and were struggling through a mushy second-half when the injury occurred.
Russell saw a specialist Monday morning.

“We certainly have tons of confidence in Jarrett”, Briles said. The decision for surgery was made after a recommendation from a specialist, per the school, which also stated that the procedure usually carries with it a recovery period of six months.
“Seth exemplifies the spirit and will of our football team”, coach Art Briles said in a statement, “and through this our team will keep that spirit alive and well for him”.
There is good and bad news for Baylor quarterback Seth Russell.
Russell is the top-rated passer in the Bowl Subdivision, completing 119 of 200 passes for 2,104 yards with 29 touchdowns and six interceptions. The answer to that question is highly-touted true freshman, Jarrett Stidham, a former five-star recruit.
