BC candidate’s quirky campaign video features robots, dragon
An independent candidate running in the federal election has released what could be the most amazing/bizarre campaign video ever.
Wyatt Scott is running as an independent in the Mission-Matsqui-Fraser Canyon district but it is his video on Youtube that has got everyone talking.
Out-manned and out-financed, Scott, a small-business owner, admits that, unless the money starts rolling in, he will likely end up supporting a candidate from one of the bigger parties.
In the background, someone can be heard singing an off-tune version of O Canada while strumming an acoustic guitar.
On his website, Scott lists “economy, equality, and education” as central to his plan, while advocating for domestic manufacturing, agriculture and green technologies.
“Change is coming to Canada and I’m here to lead that charge”, Scott continues.
Scott says he has posted a few “boring” campaign videos but they don’t pull in many views. Scott claims university is “too damn expensive”, Canada’s indigenous people don’t receive protection from their government, and medical care and social programs need to be expanded. From his eyes. He also fist-bumps an alien, slays a dragon with a massive Conan the Barbarian sword, grows a beard with a shake of his head, and yells his name to great effect. “Are you ready for the shift? I am”.
