Bear takes a swim in the pool, soaks in the hot tub

A man found a bear sitting in the swimming pool in the backyard of his home in Vancouver, British Columbia, CTV News reports.

Video shot by Tony Dierling shows the wayward bruin relaxing in his in-ground pool on Monday before it casually lumbers over to the attached hot tub, and hops in.

The animal, Diering said, got into the backyard by breaking down part of a wooden fence surrounding the property.

It even scootched over into the hot tub.

Diering and his wife aren’t sure if this is the same animal dining out of their bird feeder last month.

Diering told the network a bear, possibly the same one, was spotted in the yard eating birdseed about a month ago. But they put away the seed, hoping that would deter another encounter.

The couple is concerned since the bear has already been tagged, that others have “beared” witness before.

“In the neighborhood there are a lot of small kids and obviously it’s a safety concern for our neighbors”, he said.

“I hope that he’ll just go eat some berries in the mountains instead”, he said.
