Bears dominate in win over 49ers
San Francisco quarterback Colin Kaepernick continued his protest by kneeling during the national anthem at Soldier Field before the 49ers game against the Chicago Bears.
Jordan Howard ran for 117 yards and a career-high three touchdowns and the Bears handed San Francisco its 11th straight loss, 26-6 on a snowy Sunday.
“We give everyone a right to voice their point of view, but to do it against our flag is a disgrace”, said 100 Club CEO Joe Ahern. “When we can execute, we’re going to be a tough team to beat”.
Harold Jones-Quartey was forced into the starting lineup because of Adrian Amos being inactive due to a foot injury, and Jones-Quartey finished with 9 tackles, seven of them solo, and one for loss.
Johnson also did a snow angel, which was legal because it was a single-person celebration, head coach Chip Kelly said.

“I thought he improved”, coach John Fox said. “It was the same for both teams, it’s not an excuse, they played in the same conditions”.
It started out with a first-half Niners lead, but they didn’t extend it as much as they should have because of self-inflicted wounds like penalties.
