Ben Affleck ‘Gone Girl’ Comparisons Continue: Cheating Rumors Persist After
News of their divorce came the day after Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner celebrated – or marked – their 10th wedding anniversary. Of course, the only thing the real-life and the fictional couples have in common, other than Affleck’s role in both, is that they were not as flawless as they seemed on the surface.
Gone Girl team… (L-R) Neil Patrick Harris, Tyler Perry, Rosamund Pike, Ben Affleck and David Fincher at the NYC premiere of Gone Girl in 2014.
He has to do these things in the foreground where he takes out his phone and looks at it and he puts it away so his sister doesn’t see it. There are people who do that and it’s too pointed. But it’s just as mad that Fincher didn’t realize he was dealing with one the most famous die-hard Red Sox fans in the world, who would rather cost a production some money than wear something from the Pinstripes… even if it was for his job.
“Probably because he’s so duplicitous”.
In the director’s commentary for the film, however, Fincher revealed he was not at all happy with Affleck’s refusal to wear the hat, said Affleck was “not being very professional as an actor”, and also said that production shut down for four days over the hat.
Ben Affleck has been compared to his untrustworthy “Gone Girl” character Nick Dunne since he announced his split from Jennifer Garner.
Meanwhile, in his DVD commentary, Fincher also bemoaned Affleck’s “unprofessional” behaviour on the set of his 2014 psychological thriller, Gone Girl. But cheating rumors have been persistent.
Sources tell Variety Warner Bros. has given the greenlight to Affleck’s next directing gig “Live By Night“, with plans to begin production this November. But, either way, insiders say there were repeated trust issues.
So is Ben Affleck really like his Gone Girl character Nick Dunne?
