Ben Carson claims Planned Parenthood is trying to control the black population
Federal law bars Planned Parenthood from using federal grants for abortion services, but Republicans argue the Center for Medical Progress videos show problematic actions and have pushed to end taxpayer funding for the organization.
She said: ‘As a neurosurgeon Dr. Ben Carson knows full well that fetal tissue is essential for medical research.
As a medical doctor, Carson obviously approves of pathologists using “specimens” for research and finds no connection in the lab between aborted fetal tissue and ethical concerns.
Critics of the Republican candidate may say that Ben Carson is a hypocrite for speaking out against Planned Parenthood, knowing that he had to perform similar practices.
“And if you go back over the years, and look at the research that has been done and all the things that it was supposed to deliver, very little of that has been done, and there’s nothing that can’t be done without fetal tissue”, Carson said.
The release of the CMP videos has recently spurred an outcry from US lawmakers regarding continued government funding of Planned Parenthood.
Planned Parenthood workers reportedly told her that she should push to get women to donate fetal tissue because it was financially beneficial to the operation – and to her. The video shows a document outlining her pay of $10 per hour, plus a “tissue bonus structure”.
The Washington Post asked Carson about the conflict between his 1992 study and his 2015 claim, and Carson tossed up a word salad ridiculous as any master politician could manage.
Since last week’s debate, Carson has risen in the primary polls.
“It’s good to hear that HHS has clarified what we already know: blocking women’s access to care at Planned Parenthood is against the law”, she said. “The issue of fetal tissue has everything to do with how the tissue is acquired. Using the information that you have is a smart thing, not a dumb thing”, the presidential hopeful said.
In the July interview with FOX News, Carson stated there was “nothing that can’t be done without fetal tissue” and that babies aborted at 17 weeks were clearly human beings.
The most recent video also featured the director of research for Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, Melissa Farrell, discussing the possibility of altering the abortion procedure to have a higher chance of obtaining “intact” baby organs.
The founder of the Center for Medical Progress told CNN he has a video of a StemExpress official allegedly admitting to receiving dead, whole, intact fetuses from abortion clinics, which could be evidence of clinics performing illegal partial-birth abortions.
