Ben Carson Compares Refugees to Rabid Dogs
To do that, Carson said, the USA must balance safety against “just being a humanitarian”.
President Obama plans to admit 10,000 Syrian refugees and argues that the administration has already implemented an intense vetting process.
At a rally at the University of South Alabama Thursday, Ben Carson blamed the media for taking his comments out of context, referencing a suggestion he made earlier in the day that terrorists who embed themselves with Syrian refugees are like “rabid dogs”.
“We have something called continuing medical information”, Carson said, using this as his defense.
“He’s not my adviser”, Carson said.
There are more than 3 million American Muslims, and Donald Trump was talking about tightly scrutinizing them.
“We have to have in place screening mechanisms that allow us to determine who the mad dogs are”.
Do you support Dr. Ben Carson? On Tuesday night, Carson wanted people to know he has the courage to stand with those legislators who don’t actually have the authority to deny refugees entry to their states.
Glenn Koenig/LA Times via Getty Images Duane Clarridge says he suggested more lessons for Carson so “we can make him smart”.
“We’re going to have to do things that we never did before”.
Ben Carson’s presidential campaign is firing back against a report in the New York Times claiming the Republican candidate is struggling to fully grasp foreign policy.
“You’re not going to get one faction or another in control without a great deal of strife, but you might be able to form a coalition government, at which time you may be able to repopulate the area (and) repatriate the citizens there”, Carson said.
Carson said he chose to run for president after seeing hundreds of thousands of petition signatures urging him on.
Carson’s campaign manager, Barry Bennett, said recently that the campaign has been looking to add foreign-policy advisers. “I think that applies to every aspect of our lives, particularly in a rapidly changing world”.
Okay, so: Clarridge is too old or senile to give an interview to the Times but is plenty good enough to participate in briefings with Carson on national security and terrorism?
“Well, putting the special ops people in there is better than not having them there, because they, that’s why they’re called special ops”, he said. While Obama administration officials have insisted there is no evidence of a Chinese presence in Syria, Carson and his campaign said that his statement was misinterpreted by the press.
Carson said it would be fair to describe Clarridge as “a consultant”, but that “he’s not an adviser”.
