Ben Roethlsiberger sees no weaknesses in Broncos defense

He’s had six seasons in his career when he was sacked 40 times, including a career-high 50 in 2009. Broncos are 3-1 when Osweiler starts this season with Peyton Manning sidelined…. We’ve still got to go out and perform to our best.

Roethlisberger later said on local Pittsburgh radio that “I don’t buy he was pushed”. When they can consistently get to the quarterback, the secondary doesn’t have to be in coverage for long periods of time and that makes Denver’s defense great.

Not only do teams with the best records earn home games in the single-elimination playoffs, but the top two teams get first-round byes.

Denver’s defense should play a big role in this one, but Pittsburgh is listed as a huge favorite at home over the Broncos. They’ve slowed down some of the league’s best signal callers, holding Aaron Rodgers to just 77 passing yards and Philip Rivers to his second lowest total of the season (202 yards). That’s why the game will carry a playoff-like atmosphere and intensity when the Steelers host the Broncos Sunday (KOIN-6 (CBS), 1:25 p.m. PT/4:25 p.m. ET). This game looks like it’s going to be a defensive battle, something not usually said about games involving the Steelers.

Where has this new Chiefs team come from in the last seven weeks? “(Roethlisberger is) sitting back there throwing it, hard to get to, hard to bring down, and having to go there and play. They’ve gotten behind Reid’s leadership along with the veterans in the locker room, and it helped them never lose confidence. He’s actually the second best target though. The Jaguars have surrendered loads of points and big plays throughout the season, and don’t be surprised to see a focused Falcons squad after last week’s embarrassment against the Panthers. The main reason for that is the fact that he doesn’t need to scramble for yardage when he has the type of players who can stretch the defense like he does now. If there’s anything that holds them back against Pittsburgh, it’ll be their ability to get enough defenders on the field. The Steelers offensive line will be put to the test against a defense that his strong at every position.

A number of other things have led to it though. “They’re getting it down the field”. We saw that in their contest against the Seahawks, where they scored 30 points in Seattle.

Is it possible for Marcus Mariota to have the Titans keep up with Tom Brady and the Patriots? “And I think the more consistent [we get], the more we can build on that, it’ll take us where we need to be”. Last week against the New York Jets, the Titans had a very hard time keeping up with them.
