Benchmark further confirms upcoming Galaxy View tablet specs
Rumors about the Galaxy S7 have been floating around in the last few weeks, so we can tell you the upcoming flagship is expected to arrive in two versions, one with a regular, flat display, while the other will take advantage of curved screen, just like this year’s Galaxy S6 duo.
According to a source, Galaxy View has been certified by RRA today, indicating that the product is going to be released in the market very soon.
But in 2016 Samsung plans to move things along as it did with the Galaxy Note5, which got unveiled before IFA 2015, when Samsung usually rolls out a new Note device before the whole world. Which although, did not provide any firm details on the specs, did further confirm the tablet was approaching. Looks like Samsung created a whale of a tablet, and we’re not yet sure who the market audience will be.
However, large screen tablets do not exactly come cheap, and while Galaxy View does sport mid-range hardware specs, its 18.4 inch form factor will largely be responsible for a steep price tag. Exynos 7580 does come with an octa-core Cortex-A53 processor running at a speed of 1.6GHz, but it comes nowhere close to the performance of Exynos 7420, or Snapdragon 810 for that matter.
There will also be no rear-facing camera and only a front-facing camera of the 2MP variety. The Galaxy View will reportedly carry a 5,700 mAh battery, have a thickness of 11.9 mm and run Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box, presumably with the latest version of TouchWiz UI on top. Likewise, benchmarks do not offer any information on pricing or availability and as such, those details will also have to be waited on a little longer too.
