Bengals DB Adam ‘Pacman’ Jones Accuses Steelers WR of Faking Head Injury
Just two days after the Cincinnati Bengals imploded in the fourth quarter of their 18-16 playoff loss to Pittsburgh – courtesy of two 15-yard personal foul penalties, one from Vontaze Burfict and one from Pacman himself – the Bengals cornerback had strong words for the star Pittsburgh wide receiver.
In essence, how badly Brown was hit on the play helped the Steelers lose the game, but Jones insists Brown wasn’t hurt at all. And, when asked about a report that said several Bengals players blame Lewis for a “lack of discipline”, Jones wanted to know who the players were (they’re anonymous) and said “I don’t think no player said that”. “I know he was faking it…”
“Nah, Antonio Brown was not hurt”. Jones said after the game: “Man, that [expletive] was [expletive] acting”. If you go back in slow-motion of the play you tell me – did Vontaze hit him in the head or did his shoulder pad barely touch him? Why the (expletive) is Joey Porter on the field, period?
Of course, Pacman doesn’t believe Brown was actually concussed because how would he wink?! Brown failed concussion protocol and that’s something that is very hard to fake.
Jones hasn’t spoken to local media about the end of the game yet, but may when the locker room opens around noon ET. And they threw a flag. “You got (Steelers linebacker coach) Joey Porter in the middle of the (expletive) field talking (expletive) to everybody and then when somebody says something to him … he isn’t even supposed to be on the (expletive) field”. Had Pacman said that he deserves an Oscar or a Golden Globe, he might have made sense. He couldn’t give me an answer…. “He was full speed”.
Looks like Burfict did hit Brown in the head, and forced his neck area to briefly contract. It’s a pretty low blow to go after Brown like that, especially since Brown is lucky that he wasn’t severely injured during the play. “But if you go back and watch the film, watch the film of the whole game”.
