Bentley Bentayga Makes Video Debut
The promotional video is part of a series of celebrations to mark the debut of the Bentayga at the Frankfurt global Motor Show next Tuesday.
The Bentley Bentayga has been revealed ahead of the 2015 Frankfurt motor show.
“From one-time CEO Woolf Barnato’s fabled Cannes-to-London race victory against the “Blue Train” in 1930, to Idris Elba’s new “Flying Mile” land speed record set earlier this year; and from Dudley Benjafield and Sammy Davis’ 1927 Le Mans victory, to Bentley’s repetition of the feat 76 years later, a pioneering, adventurous spirit has always been strong with the brand”.
“The Bentayga is truly the Bentley of SUVs”, he said.
The 2016 Bentley Bentayga SUV is propelled by a 6.0-liter twin-turbocharged W-12 engine with an eight-speed automatic transmission with up to 600 horsepower (447 kW) and 663 lb-ft (900 Nm) of torque.
“It redefines luxury in the SUV sector and offers a genuine Bentley experience in any environment, thanks to a combination of unparalleled attention to detail, go-anywhere ability and cutting-edge technology. The Bentayga is the next step in our brand’s bold future”.
But the Bentayga isn’t just about performance and luxury.
Bentley says the development programme for the new vehicle has been the most exhaustive in the brand’s history, ranging from the dirt and gravel of South Africa and the dunes of Dubai to muddy Cheshire fields, and from -30°C in the frozen North Cape to searing 50°C desert heat.
A new suspension system dubbed “Bentley Dynamic Ride” is claimed to be the world’s first electric active roll centre technology designed to reduce body lean when cornering. This upcoming new SUV also receives panoramic sunroof, an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with a 60GB hard drive, a removable 10.2-inch Android-based Bentley tablet with 4G, WiFi and Bluetooth for the rear passengers, three available audio systems, including a 1,950 Watt unit from Naim with 18 speakers, and a flurry of other standard and optional features. Owners have a choice to pick from up to 17 exterior paint colours with up to 90 hues available in the extended range to 15 interior trim hide. Later on, Bentley will also be releasing diesel and hybrid versions.
Bentley has already confirmed a number of Australians have placed orders for the Bentayga with deliveries starting in February 2016.
