Bergeron scores 2 in 3rd period as Bruins beat Coyotes 5-3
“We’re moving the puck really well and we’re taking what’s open”. Regardless, Bergeron found himself on the wing with time after entering his offensive zone and ripped the puck between Connor Murphy’s legs and beat Smith over his right shoulder. “We’ve got to do a few more of that”.

After getting outscored 16-7 while losing their first three games, Boston has had a 11-5 scoring edge in the two wins. They’ll return on a roll after earning a hard-fought win Saturday over the Arizona Coyotes.
After the Coyotes erased a two-goal deficit in the third, Bergeron scored the game-winner with nine minutes gone in the period, then added an insurance goal with 1:06 left for the Bruins’ second consecutive road win. He has three goals and four points this season. They’ll face the New York Islanders on Tuesday before starting a stretch where they’ll play seven of eight games on the road. This time around they’re just hurting.
Marchand put Boston up 3-1 at 4:44 of the third period.
Doan gave the Coyotes a 1-0 lead with his first goal of the season at 2:12 of the first period.

The unassisted goal marked Doan’s 900th career point, making him the second player in franchise history to reach that milestone.

Vitale caught the last punch flush to the left eye that ended the fight, and then never returned to the game following the vicious bout with Miller.
The Bruins were active to start the game, with Marchand setting the tone with two shots on goal and a hard screen on Smith in his first shift back from missing two games with a concussion. Krejci fed the puck to Randell, who lifted a backhand over Smith for his second goal in as many games. A good portion of the crowd of 13,411 inside Gila River Arena wore Boston’s black and yellow.
That initial flurry didn’t result in a Bruins goal, however, and Arizona was able to take advantage of a miscue at the other end. Coyotes C Antoine Vermette played after suffering a lower body injury in Thursday’s loss to Minnesota….
