Her captors are demanding 120 million reais (£27.8m) in ransom – divided into four bags – for her return, the report says. Apparently, Fabiana chose to accept Ecclestone’s proposal after the mogul surprised her with an impressive $160,000 diamond ring.
Fabiana’s mother continues to live in the Interlagos district of Sao Paolo.
Ecclestone, 85, is worth an estimated £2.4bn and married the 39-year-old Brazilian in 2012 following his divorce from Croatian model Slavica Radic.
